Bottle
Drying Rack
If you have a baby that you're
bottle feeding, you'll be spending plenty of time cleaning,
sterilizing, and drying those baby bottles, rings, and
nipples. It's important to
have a clean and sterile way to dry the bottles, because that
will prevent germs from multiplying. There are many different kinds of the bottle
drying rack on the market, and we'll go over some of them
here.
Modular bottle drying racks are
an excellent choice, and they don't take up too much counter
space. Most modular bottle
drying racks even come with a drip tray, so you can either put
it on the counter top or in the sink. The great thing about a modular baby bottle
drying rack is that it disassembles for easy cleaning - simply
detach the rack from the base and either hand wash it or run it
through the dishwasher.
There are also some tiered bottle
drying rack models, and these also take up minimal counter
space. Normally, nipples,
rings and caps go underneath the bottles, and all water drips
down into a tray. You can
add more levels to accommodate more bottles, too.
The only disadvantage to a tiered
baby bottle drying rack is that it may be difficult to get to
the smaller parts on the bottom tier without disassembling the
entire rack.
Some baby bottle drying rack
options are circular, with racks that rotate on an axis.
Each rack rotates separately,
making bottles and accessories reachable from every
angle. These bottle drying
racks have prongs of different sizes, for bottles, rings and
caps.
Usually, the accessories go on
the smaller prongs, with the bottles going on the taller prongs
in the middle. The main
disadvantage to this type of bottle drying rack is the way that
water collects in the bottom, which can lead to mold growth if
you're not careful.
If you are going for simplicity,
there are bottle drying racks that have a few straight prongs,
usually a few tall prongs and a few shorter ones for smaller
bottles and accessories. These types of bottle drying racks usually
have holes in the bottom for water to drain out, and they can
either be used with a drip tray or placed in the sink.
Of course, you'll have to clean
the drip tray yourself, but having a dry and sterile baby
bottle each time you need it is worth
it!
There are also combination
dishwasher basket/drying racks on the market.
With these, you simply put your
bottles and accessories in, place in the top rack of your
dishwasher, and run a normal cycle. When the dishes are done, take the rack out
and let any excess water drain into the sink.
Sometimes the water will drip
down onto the nipples and accessories, but that problem can be
solved by turning the unit upside
down.
Moms and dads have many choices
when it comes to baby bottle drying racks, and hopefully this
article has helped clear up some of the confusion.
There are many online sources for

provide customer reviews, both positive and negative, for each
product). Do your research

best!
